Our Togetha mattress offers a 100% natural 3 zoned latex core with a 5 zoned latex pillowtop quilted with pure wool and then covered with a pure bamboo fabric ticking. Latex foam is tapped from the rubber tree, much like syrup from the maple tree. Each tree offers 1/2 cup per day of pure rubber and this is a sustainable process. No tree is killed from this process and Getha retires the tract of trees that are tapping out, til they renew themselves and the process starts all over again. You can't get a "greener" mattress.

Although called latex "foam" there is no foam in latex. It is 100% pure and natural rubber that will outlast poly or plastic foam by 3 or 4 to one. In simplified terms, the sap from the rubber tree is poured into a mold (resembling a large waffle iron) with a bed of nails on the bottom. The sap is then sealed inside and is cured using freezing and heat techniques creating the perfect long lasting mattress. Once the mattress core is cured, it is then pulled out of the chamber and the by product of the nails creates perforations in the latex. The size of the holes dictates the firmness of the product. The Togetha zoning means there are a combination of smaller and larger holes to create different feels of support and give in the areas the body needs it.

Once the latex is cured it is washed several times to rid the latex of any impurities and most importantly the proteins from the rubber tree that can cause latex allergy. The core is then dried and you have the perfect mattress.

The pure wool is then added into the top quilting to enhance the effects of the latex and create a climatized sleep surface. Wool draws away moisture from your body. wicking it away, creating a dry and warm atmosphere to decrease tossing and turning. Wool is very therapeutic and is excellent to sleep on when your body is injured. It climatizes to your body temperature and regulated to each sleeper. Wool is cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
